Reading police accuse two of having sex in public .
Reading, PA - A Hereford Township man and a homeless woman have been charged with having sex in public in the 1200 block of Montgomery Street near Stonecliffe Park in Reading.
Lawrence A. Williams, 38, of the 100 block of Concord Drive was free awaiting further court action following arraignment Saturday before Senior District Judge John W. Miller on charges of open lewdness, public drunkenness and disorderly conduct.
Christine L. Harting, 40, was committed to Berks County Prison in lieu of $1,500 bail following arraignment before Miller on the same charges.
According to police: Passers-by alerted two policemen Friday about 7:50 p.m. that a man was engaging in a sex act or urinating under a Warren Street Bypass bridge.
As police drove toward the area, a group of adults and children on bicycles pointed toward a car.
Police saw Williams and Harting partially clothed in a car with an open door and arrested them.
